L’Essendole is the ideal place to spend your holidays in the French Alps, in winter, summer or all year long.

This is the place to recharge your batteries and rebalance yourself.

Benefiting from an exceptional tranquillity and a garden, you will be able to relax in the middle of nature, but also to practice your favourite sports: hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, climbing, mountain biking, cycling…,

or even to treat yourself to local products while enjoying a unique natural environment.

A new and very well equipped building…

L’Essendole is a brand new house (2021) built in the Vercors tradition on the site of a former gîte, consisting of three gîtes/apartments.
It has modern facilities, which aim to provide you with maximum comfort.

… A quiet hamlet…

Situated in the French Alps, in a quiet hamlet of five houses which lives to the rhythm of the fountain in the garden, you can enjoy the serenity of the place while being 5 minutes (by car) from the centre of Villard-De-Lans and a few steps from the hiking trails.

… At the foot of the summits

Nestled at the foot of the Vercors peaks: Col Vert, Arrêtes du Gerbier are nearby, you can contemplate and walk around them. 5 minutes by car and 20 minutes on foot from the centre of Villard-de-Lans (by a splendid GR).

Activities: wave pool, cinema, trampoline sessions, massages and spas, orienteering, the activity programmes of the communes are very well provided for.

The Vercors is a fabulous natural playground.
– Contemplation and serenity: live here to the rhythm of the fountain that flows in the garden.
– Downhill skiing: descend the snowy slopes of the Olympic ski resort: l’Essendole is a ten-minute drive from the Villard-de-Lans / Corrençon downhill ski resort,
– Nordic skiing and snowshoeing: take to the cross-country ski trails for a round of skating, L’Essendole is a fifteen minute drive from the Bois-Barbus/Villard-de-Lans Nordic ski slopes and a few minutes from the flat of Lans which is marked out for Nordic skiing when there is plenty of snow.
– Mountain biking, hiking: follow the splendid hiking trails that start in Villard-de-Lans, discover the surrounding forests, pedal on the trails with your mountain bike, ride your mountain bike down the summer trails, discover the 4 mountains on the Via Vercors.
– Other sports: climb our beautiful cliffs, take a flight over the summits or hit the golf balls in Corrençon…

If it rains:

it’s raining? Put on your boots and ponchos and discover the local ecosystem. You will warm up by a good fire and a hot chocolate… But you can also take advantage of the swimming pool, the BAM (trampoline hall), the cinema, the ice rink, open all year round…
